PRLC becomes Accredited by the U.S. Land Trust Alliance

It's Official!

March 3, 2023 — The Pound Ridge Land Conservancy (PRLC) is thrilled to share the news that we are newly accredited by Land Trust Alliance (LTA). Earning accreditation is a major milestone for our organization as we seek to preserve and protect Pound Ridge’s natural beauty.

This recognition is the result of years of hard work by many board members, our land stewards, and countless volunteers who helped us meet the LTA’s highest national standards for excellence and conservation permanence. We want to thank all of you who have supported us.

Our new status as an accredited land trust will allow PRLC to flourish and pursue our mission of preserving Pound Ridge land forever. PRLC will now be eligible for additional grants to achieve our goals more effectively. Accreditation will allow PRLC to access even more educational resources within the LTA community to help guide our own programming and stewardship practices. Most importantly, achieving accreditation gives PRLC new momentum to engage our community. Expect to see more educational programming, more opportunities to explore our preserves, and increased capabilities to protect our properties.
