PRLC Presents "River Otters"

The Pound Ridge Land Conservancy presents a program on river otters. River otters are an elusive but very welcome member of Westchester’s wildlife. As an indicator species, their presence speaks to the quality of both the aquatic and terrestrial habitats in our county. This program will cover the life history, behavior, and communication of river otters while showing local trail camera footage of the fun-loving species.

Our presenter, Sarah Walkley, holds a PhD in Brain and Behavior Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her research focused on regional differences in the behavior and communication of wild North American river otters. She is currently working as an Environmental Educator at Stamford Museum and Nature Center.

Join us at the Pound Ridge Library on October 19th at 7pm.
